Hello all. I did not realize how quiet I have been over here. With social media and keeping up with all of those platforms I just let this slide and it really should be the first place I post and update.
Beale Street Shows
Beale Street has been slow here lately due to the economy and school starting back up. With the Memphis Grizzlies starting back up things should be jumping again soon.
I am still at the Rum Boogie Cafe on Beale and BB King Blvd every Friday through Sunday. Every Saturday and every other Friday I go on just before Freeworld. Peter Climie, the Sax, and EWI player for Freeworld will come in early and sit in for a few songs. Two of our favorites are “If Only” by Dave Matthews Band and recently added to the set is “True Colors” by Cyndie Lauper. Peter plays EWI on both of these songs and sax on the others we do.
Every other Friday I am at the Westin Beale Street Memphis. It is actually just behind Beale Street directly across from the FedEx Forum. I love this gig because it is very laid back and I get to play more jazz like versions of songs. It is also my latest running gig ending at 9pm.
